Honey Lit is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a romance anthology newsletter builder in 2023!
Here are the details:
Title: Meant to Be Forever
Type of Anthology: Newsletter Builder (will be on Bookfunnel, not on retailers)
Minimum Subscriber Count: 500
Release/Duration: September 15th to October 14th 2023; 30 days/1 month
Deadline for edited manuscripts: July 31st 2023
Spots Available: 20 out of 20 (co-authors welcome, but each author must pay their own buy-in fee)
Genre: Contemporary Romance; HEA/HFN; New Adult/Adult; MF/MM/FF (no menage/RH)
Trope: Friends-to-Lovers ONLY
Heat Level: Medium Heat (about a 3 out of 5, open door sex but not erotica)
The Story: New material, no cliffhanger, and consensual sex.
Word Count: 7,500-17,500 (novelette)
Buy-In: $50 (for ads, cover, and administrative costs, due within two weeks after acceptance; nonrefundable after April 30th 2023, but authors may sell their spot)
Expectations: All stories must be edited (at author’s expense) prior to final submission. All authors will be required to share the anthology on social media throughout the duration (with designated posts for cover reveal, release day, etc.), in one newsletter (minimum), and do a minimum of 10 newsletter swaps. These swaps will be coordinated by each author on their own and/or Honey Lit can set up the swaps for each author.
Marketing Plan: A portion of the buy-in fee will cover Facebook ads and a giveaway to promote the anthology. Honey Lit will share the anthology and giveaway on all of our social media, in our reader newsletter, in Facebook groups (primarily those with active members), and set up/join Bookfunnel promotions to boost attention to the anthology.
*** The purpose of this anthology is not only to build our newsletters, but to also build a community of romance authors. All authors will join a designated Facebook group for the anthology to coordinate all of the details (featuring monthly check-ins, setting up cross-promo, possible sprints). There will be no crossover required between the stories. The only requirement for the story is that the trope is friends-to-lovers. The submitted book must be exclusive to the anthology for the complete 30 days. After the anthology is taken down, the author can choose what they would like to do with their story. ***
